12 months

Dearest Ruby.

You are officially 12 months, 1 year? I'm not really sure what to call it exactly, but I do know that you have been in our lives for a full 365 days, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I love you baby girl. You are a delight to watch grow and change each and every day.

At 12 months you..

1) Are a walking machine. You picked it up about 3 weeks ago, and you're walk everywhere. If you fall    down, you stand back up and continue walking. *sniff* where is my baby?
2) You are starting to really enjoy books, picking them up, and flipping the pages.
3) You still nap twice a day, a shorter morning one, a longer afternoon one.
4) Bedtime is still right around 6 pm. I really can't get you to stay up later. You have been sleeping longer at night, which I'm so thankful for. You are a year now, kiddo, it's really time to sleep through the night.
5) You love climbing stairs, I'm trying to teach you how to go down them safely.
6) You love climbing period. I often find you scaling a stool, or a bench, or even the baby gate. Thankfully you haven't attempted the crib yet. I don't think we have much time though.
7) Favorite foods: pears, cheese, carrots, graham crackers, avacado. You don't seem to have any food dislikes as of now.
8) You say a few words, Mama, out, Hi, you wave bye, and you're always jabbering. Sometimes I think, if you could talk, you'd be telling Mama off.
9) You have zero fear of anything. Sometimes I think you're a little crazier, and a little more daring than even your brother (probably because you've been watching him)
10) You are such a peanut, and now that you're walking, people ask all the time how old you are! You can still fit into some 9 month clothes, but also wear 12 and some 18 month.

We love you baby girl.

 for the blessing God gave us, when he gave us YOU.

Ruby is One!

A year ago today, my sweet little Ruby, we met for the first time. 

I am more in love with you today than ever.
