I apologize for not updating more frequently around here.

We have been outside enjoying the beautiful spring weather.

Levi's favorite outside activity?

on rainy days, we pull out the crayons.

this his first drawing attempt.

we actually made the crayons. it was really easy, and a great way to use up old crayons.

a long time coming...

levi has officially decided he's done with breastfeeding.

for a while now, he's been down to just one nursing in the morning when he wakes up which was definitely more of a comfort than anything else to him. i decided i would let him lead the charge on when to stop. and a few days ago i offered, and he simply turned away and went on his merry little way. i've offered for a few days now with the same result, so i think we're done.

14 1\2 months isn't too shabby for someone who had zero interest in doing it. i really didn't want to nurse, but cost was a huge factor in why i chose to nurse. honestly? i pretty much hated for probably 4-5 months. when he was born, i said to myself that i would nurse him for 6 months, no if's ands or buts. at 6 months, i'd make a call, and by then, it was so easy, that i didn't even consider stopping. i'm glad i didn't.

so, to the end of an era, and the beginning of a new one with our little boy.

5 years ago, it was sunny, beautiful, and 70 degrees.

Why do I remember that?

Outdoor Fun

Since it's been warm, we have been spending loads of time outdoors. Levi asks to go outside almost every day, and I'm happy to oblige him. He especially loves when his Papa takes him swinging. Why?
