A piano student of mine's family owns a dairy farm. Recently, they have decided to start selling their milk. Selling "raw milk" is kind of tricky business, as you can't officially "sell" it, but you can allow people to buy "shares" into your cows, and "buy" it that way. After much talk, Mike and I decided to go ahead with it. Today our first gallon o' milk came.
It has such great nutritional value, not to mention be able to have cream for whipping cream, I'm even toying with maybe making cheese? Liz Kamper, can you give me tips on this?
I'm excited about the possibilities of it, and we love love love that we can buy locally, and support our local dairy farms.
On a separate note, I took this pic at the lake the other day,
and I just really liked how it turned out.
