squeak squeak squeak

It's cold.

Around -20 with the windchill.

It's cold enough that the snow squeaks.

I ♥ squeaky snow.

Norman

Yesterday we were blasted with about 10-12 inches of snow.
It was gorgeous, and provided a happy snow day
for everyone, including myself.
what else is there to do a snowday, but make a snowman?
I present to you
Norman

He says hello.
Those are chocolate fudge cookies for eyes and of course, a carrot nose.

This is my favorite picture.
Levi was quite fascinated by the nose.

snow

monday morning we woke up to this...

now, I honestly don't understand why everyone complains all the time.. we DO live in Michigan... and I know it was the first day back from Spring Break, and everyone got a snow day...

but seriously.. isn't it beautiful?

my sister and i talked on the phone that morning (as we do every morning) and were discussing how utterly annoying facebook would be with all of the complaints of snow... so.. April and I decided to make snow happy. :) I took pictures of it before it all melted away... April went to work, snowpants in hand, and was planning on making a snowman to help the residents not be so gosh darn upset about the snow.... well the snowman turned into a snowbunny in honor of easter.. they named her Rosebud, isn't she beautiful?

So there you have it.. Snow on April 6th, (7 inches to be exact) and enough to close all the schools in the county for the day. It really was beautiful...

snow day

It's a SNOW DAY,
which means Christmas Break starts today! :)

I'll be back later with pictures.
It's been snowing for 2 hours and we have about 5 inches already.
10-12 inches expected today.

"snain"

yesterday it "snained"
that's what i like to call a rain\snow mix..
it's much more fun that way! :)
it's been quite cool the past few days, and this morning i had to scrape a good thick frost off of our car... old man winter is definitely on his way.
