It has been raining off an on here all week. While rain doesn't exactly give you the go ahead to go outdoors, it's nice to sit inside and see the rain replenish the earth.
I've been thinking a lot about the rain drenching Iowa and the massive flooding that is taking place there. I can't imagine what that must be like, but I do know that God promises us that He will never flood the earth again, and while we don't always understand His ways, we can rest in his promises to protect and provide for us.
I feel like rain replenishes the soul in some ways, gives us a sense of hope, renewal, and peace. It reminds me that God washes away our sins, and promises to give us a new life.
