i turned on the wrong burner, and the spoon was kind of hanging over towards that burner, and the heat started the fire, i'm assuming. it was a little crazy. we keep our utensils in a crock on the stove, so i grabbed the crock for fear of more things catching on fire, turned off the burner, grabbed the spoon and threw it under water...
hmm... all for hot chocolate.... and THEN.....
we didn't have hot chocolate.. so now i'm drinking tea...
hmmm.. not one of my finer moments in life. :)

oh my! i've had something similar happen before. and what a bummer that you didn't have any hot chocolate in the end!
